BLD stands for breakfast, lunch, dinner and was inspired by Chef Neal Fraser and Amy Knoll Fraserís desire to serve simple, delicious food made with high-quality, seasonal ingredients. It's the kind of easy, comfort food that Neal cooks at home.
And it's available all day without pretense and expense--a true neighborhood spot, as well as a great destination restaurant. The enticing space and friendly service offer favorites like Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes; a variety of benedicts, omelets, and frittatas; satisfying salads, sandwiches, and burgers; and thoughtfully-crafted appetizers and entrees, including the popular Self Constructive Dinner.
Chef Neal Fraser is known for his New American cuisine, as well as a successful stint on Bravo TV's "Top Chef Masters" and a win on Food Network's "Iron Chef America". One of the premier chefs in Los Angeles, Neal showcases ambitious flavors and artfully-composed dishes, notably with BLD and the former Grace.
Recently, Neal set his attention to Redbird--his follow-up to Grace--and Vibiana in Downtown L.A., as well as an extension of BLD at LAX and Fritzi Dog, a hot dog concept at The Original Farmers Market. He is also the consulting chef at The Strand House in Manhattan Beach. Neal began his career at the age of 20, working as a line cook for Wolfgang Puck. The experience inspired him to attend the Culinary Institute of America.
