Rio Mar

Located in New Orleans’ vibrant Warehouse District, RioMar has been creating fresh, traditional Spanish and Latin American seafood dishes and tapas since 2000. The name comes from a town in Panama where the river meets the sea, and offers a warm setting much like the seaside taverns in Spain.

Executive Chef/Owner Miles Prescott creates rotating seasonal menus that showcase the bounty of the Gulf with New World flavors and cooking techniques that highlight classic Pan Latin dishes. At RioMar, guests can experience a culinary voyage through Central and South America via four unique styles of ceviche. Prescott serves a variety of small plates including grilled Portuguese octopus, empanadas ropas viejas, Spanish cheeses and a cured meat sampler. The menu also offers many satisfying large plates like Lechon, Escabeche and Louisiana Black Drum. In addition to offering more than 40 rare Spanish wines, a refreshing cocktail list features New Orleans classics as well as a variety of Caiprinhas and Sangrias.
