AMI

The showroom boutique of chic menswear designer Alexandre Mattiussi. Mattiussi is an alumni of Givenchy and Marc Jacobs and his stylish, no fuss fashion shows this. The clothes exemplify Parisian 'cool' and the store matches the brand to perfection.

Ami Boutique feels like an old school tailors workshop that has been given a contemporary twist by Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty who are best known for reworking that bastion of contemporary, understate LA cool, Chateau Marmont.

The store has deft little touches from the reclaimed armoire used for displaying shoes and the vintage clerks desks as displays, all illuminated by reclaimed lamps hanging like an army from the ceiling. All this cooly classic design is justifiably matched by the fashion, whose preppy elegance and sophistication is taking Paris quietly by storm.
