Galeria Silvia Cintra +Box4

In almost twenty years of services to Brazilian contemporary art, Silvia Cintra Art Gallery has established itself as one of the main galleries in the country as well as a reference in Rio de Janeiro, representing rtists such as Amilcar de Castro, Miguel Rio Branco, Nelson Leirner, Leda Catunda, Daniel Senise, amongst others.

In January 2010, the gallery moved from its former location in Ipanema to a new three-story building built specially to host the gallery in Gávea, the new cultural spot in Rio de Janeiro. The new space also consolidates the merging of Silvia Cintra Art Gallery and Box 4, the gallery founded in 2006 by Juliana Cintra, Silvia´s daughter, focused on young artists. With the merge, the gallery Silvia Cintra + Box 4 seeks to concentrate in one place the best of what is being made in Brazilian contemporary art, with an intense dialogue between established and emerging artists.
