Marzapane Dolce & Cucina

Set in a location inspired by the essential continental minimal taste, Marzapane, is one of the latest addition to the capital long-standing and diverse culinary tradition. A place where the warmth of aged wood and the rigor of white and black create a relaxed and welcoming ambience, with the only touch of color represent by the dishes, and an open view kitchen-lab, Marzipan communicates authenticity, intimacy, passion, emphasized by the use of the finest produce to provide customers with a 'tale of taste'. Marzipane food is the result of tradition, memory, ingredients, colors, a remind of the Sicilian origins of its owners, where sweet and salty tastes combined with the smell of spices and Mediterranean produce is transformed in pure culinary art. Led by the passion for food of young chef Alba Estevez Ruiz, who has been awarded the prize for Emerging Chef by the Italian prestigious foodies guide il Gambero Rosso, the restaurant manages to create a meeting place, always friendly and never pretentious, to enjoy life trough good food and wine. The restaurant offers a special lunch menu of the day, along with one for a gourmet dinner, in bistro style. And then there is the tray of sweets and dessert, including a whole range of home made small creations and delicacies evoking tastes and smells of hidden pleasures, memories, and wishes, with an eye for the aesthetic and details as well.
